Indiana-ana

(within 90 miles or so)

A word of explanation from Barbara, the highly motivated chair of the Consult Planning team :

Hi Dale: Thinking about Indiana trivia, I was inspired when I got home last week to look in the dictionary for the word “ana” and suffix “-ana.” As I suspected, “ana” means a collection of miscellaneous information about a particular subject, person, place, or thing. As a suffix, -ana forms collective nouns denoting an assembly of items, as household objects, art, books, or maps, or a description of such items, as a  bibliography, all of which are representative  of or associated with the place person, or period names by the stem, such as “Americana.”  Therefore, our page of Indiana trivia could accurately, if curiously, be called: Indianaana Indiana-ana.
